1. About us
Garage Roofs Direct is a trading name of Vexallo Ltd, registered in England and Wales (company number: registration in progress). Our registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom. We carry out garage roof replacement across the United Kingdom. By accepting a quotation or making payment you agree to these terms, and your contract is with Vexallo Ltd.
2. Quotations
- All written quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
- After 7 days, prices may be subject to change due to fluctuations in material costs, fuel, and waste disposal charges. Please request a revised quotation if your original has expired.
- Quotations are based on the information provided at the time of enquiry. Any variation in the actual scope of works (e.g. additional roof area, unforeseen structural issues) may result in a revised price, which will be agreed with you before work proceeds.
- Where VAT is applicable, it is charged at the prevailing rate and is included in quoted prices unless otherwise stated.
3. Booking and payment
- An initial payment, as agreed in your written quote, is required to confirm your booking.
- The remaining balance is due on the day of completion.
- Payment may be made by bank transfer or card. Details will be provided on your invoice.
- We reserve the right to suspend or cancel works if payment terms are not met.
4. Cancellation
- Your statutory right to cancel. Because your contract with us is normally concluded at a distance, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of entering into it, without giving a reason. To cancel, contact us at hello@garageroofsdirect.co.uk. Any refund due will be made within 14 days of you telling us.
- If you ask us to begin work within that 14-day period, you may still cancel, but we may charge you a proportionate amount for the work already carried out and for materials ordered specifically for your job. Once the work has been completed in full at your express request, the right to cancel no longer applies.
- Outside the statutory cancellation period, please notify us as soon as possible if you wish to cancel.
- Cancellations made more than 7 days before the agreed installation date will receive a full refund of any payment made.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of the installation date may result in a partial or full forfeiture of payment made, limited to costs already reasonably incurred (materials ordered, travel booked, other bookings declined).
- We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule your installation in the event of severe weather, vehicle breakdown, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, a full refund of any payment made will be offered if a mutually agreeable alternative date cannot be found.
5. Works and materials
- All works are carried out by trained operatives working on behalf of Garage Roofs Direct using quality materials. Where an approved contractor carries out works on our behalf, our guarantee and these terms apply in full and are unaffected.
- The roof sheet specification, including gauge, profile, coating and colour, is as set out in your written quotation.
- Sheet colour is as specified in your written quotation. Minor variation between screens and actual colour is normal and does not constitute a defect.
- We will take reasonable care to protect your property during works. Dust sheets and protective covering will be used where practicable.
- All waste arising from the works will be removed from site and disposed of in accordance with current waste management regulations. A Waste Transfer Note will be provided for all jobs.
6. Asbestos
- Where asbestos cement sheets are present, removal is carried out in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012. This is non-licensed work (Type 2 ACM) carried out by trained and certificated operatives.
- Waste is double-bagged, sealed and transported to a licensed waste transfer facility. All relevant documentation is provided.
- If asbestos in a condition worse than expected is discovered during works, we will pause and advise you before proceeding.
7. Guarantee
- Your new roof is guaranteed against leaks for 20 years from the date of completion. If the roof leaks as a result of our installation within that period, we will return and repair it at no cost to you.
- This guarantee covers leaks arising from our workmanship. It does not cover damage caused by extreme weather events, third-party interference, alterations made by others, or structural movement of the garage itself.
- The roofing materials additionally carry the manufacturer's own guarantee, subject to the manufacturer's terms. Its length varies by product, coating and location, and the applicable terms are confirmed in writing with your quotation.
- This guarantee is provided by Garage Roofs Direct and applies to the property at which the works were carried out. It transfers with the property: if you sell, the remainder of the guarantee passes to the new owner. Please let us know so we can update our records.
8. Liability
- Our liability for any claim arising from works carried out is limited to the value of those works.
- We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
- Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence.
9. Disputes
In the event of a dispute, please contact us in the first instance at hello@garageroofsdirect.co.uk. We will make every effort to resolve issues promptly and fairly. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
10. Discount codes
- Discount codes reduce your estimated price by a fixed amount and are applied automatically when entered correctly on the quote form.
- Only one code may be used per enquiry.
- We may withdraw, change or expire a code at any time without notice.
- A code has no cash value, cannot be exchanged or transferred, and cannot be applied retrospectively to an enquiry or quotation already issued.
